Connecting MT4 accounts

Here is a step-by-step guide on connecting your MT4 accounts

Downloading the MT4 platform

Windows

You can download and install the MT4 platform to your PC from this link.

Mac

You can use MT4 on Mac through the web version. Alternatively, there is software that helps you to run it, but use it at your own risk. Set up instructions are here.

Connecting the platform to your account

Once installed, you will need to follow the steps below to successfully log in to your MT4 trading account

  • Open your MT4 platform

  • Click on "File" in the top left-hand corner

  • Then, click on "Open An Account"

  • A pop-up box will appear. Select the server “TradeNation-LiveBravo” and click Next >.

    • Sometimes you may need to scan the servers again for the icon to turn green.

  • Alternatively, you can type “Trade Nation” in the search box. Both the demo and live servers will appear—make sure to select the live server.

  • After clicking on 'Next>', you will be directed to the next page. Select to login to an "Existing Trade Account" and insert your login credentials (this being your username, and your password)

  • Select "Finish" and you should have successfully logged in.
